The Fiverr challenge
Fiverr appreciates how difficult it can be for small businesses to take their business to the next level and is always looking for innovative and unique ways to help, and so, “The Game Changer” was launched. The Game Changer is a storytelling competition for start-ups, small businesses and entrepreneurs. People were invited share their stories through video to win exposure for their brand at Yankee Stadium and at the same time create broader brand awareness for Fiverr.
The question for Fiverr: Who would host this “game changing” competition? Develop rules to govern the contest, including who could enter and voting.
In addition to being simple to use, the platform allowed entrants to upload their video entries directly from their phones, tablets and computers and to promote their entries to their followers on social media. This in turn generated a buzz for their brand.
Each participant was invited to create a 30 second video pitching why his or her start-up, small business, or entrepreneurship deserved to go big league. This included detail as to why they went out on their own, and what drives them to succeed. Entrants were encouraged to be unique and creative!
Fiverr competitions get bigger and better each year and this competition was no exception. Using the Launchpad6 platform, Fiverr received more than 600 entries from innovative entrepreneurs and small businesses across the US.
Entrants received a combined vote count of more than 34,000 votes and attracted over 65,000 video plays. Entries were also shared over social platforms more than 16,000 times. This generated great brand awareness for Fiverr and the entrants
Once the voting was complete 5 winners were selected with each receiving Fiverr Credit and Mentorship, Advertising at one of the most iconic stadiums in the world, Yankee Stadium and Yankees Tickets and a VIP party with Yankee great Johnny Damon.
